| Q. You have suggested some "business units" as part of the unexpected proposals you have made tonight. What is to stop you pushing this further and creating an industrial estate? A. The planning system overall and this process you are undertaking now will clearly define the future status of my client's land and what can be built on it. Our suggestion tonight of an additional site for possible housing and associated employment opportunities is intended as an option to complement those proposals from WPG. Our view is that the site to the east of Chelston Rise was once the site of many structures when the airfield was operational and could become so once more if residents wanted to create a larger community. |
